Us craft beer exports up by 72%

The unrelenting juggernaut that is the American craft brewer marches on today with the news that more people than ever are enjoying beer brewed in America, I know this is shocking but I can assure you there is more to American beers than just Budweiser and Coors. This is now estimated that this market is worth 49.1 million dollars.

The biggest importer of these American craft beers is Canada with Britain and Sweden following behind, Although exports to the latter two markets declined they were thankfully offset by increased shipments to other parts of Europe.

“The BA is very pleased with the continued growth in exports of American craft beer to markets around the world. Consumers continue to view American craft brewers as leaders in innovation and among the standard bearers for quality. Maintaining that perception is a priority for the craft brewing community,” said Bob Pease, Brewers Association chief operating officer.

I for one welcome this news, the more diversity we can get in the world of beer the better. What do you think of this new American invasion?
