Today Virgin trains and RedWillow brewery announced a new partnership that will see them launch a new exclusive beer, tilting ale. This is described as a light, hoppy beer that will arrive right on time with a finish of bitter. Served on board, it’s perfect for sipping at 125mph, says Virgin. The new beer is available from the train operator’s on-board shops now.
“We’re always looking at ways to improve the choice and quality of the food and drink on sale from our on-board shops,” said Virgin Trains’ on board product development manager, Rob Taylor. “Real ale is growing in popularity and we’re delighted to have been able to partner with a brewery so close to one of our stations.”
The brewery founder Toby shared virgins sentiments and went on to say.
“We’re really excited to have been given the opportunity by Virgin Trains,” said Toby. “We are striving hard to introduce real quality ale to a much wider audience and we couldn’t have picked a better company to work with.
“It’s particularly pleasing for me as, prior to setting up RedWillow with Caroline, I used to travel from Macclesfield to London every day with work. The service on board was, and still is, second to none, so to be chosen to be part of that is a big feather in the cap for the brewery.”
Virgin has always been known for it customers satisfactions and they know consider Real craft beers to be part of that, I guess they figured a can of Carling just wouldn’t cut it for the type of customer they hope to appeal to.
