So todays review is another wonderful pale ale, this one is trying to reinvent the formula though by defining itself as a loose leaf pale ale. Now I’ve never tried or heard of this type before so beer nerd in me had to do a little googling to figure out, apparently the loose leaf name comes from the use of earl grey tea leaves.
The brewers website says:
Her name alludes to the mystical history of the humble tea leaf, which delivers subtle bergamot orange and lemon notes here, accentuated by the addition of lemon zest. Her delicate hop high notes will leave your taste buds sparkling.
- Came in a 330ml brown bottle
- 3.6% APV
- Brewed by siren craft beer
- Brewed in Wokingham, England
When I poured this beer into the glass i knew it was going to be something I enjoyed. it was so Apache in the glass that looked almost solid white, this was an incredibly active beer in the glass with a head that just kept growing and growing, it took two attempts to get this into the glass.
this is a wonderful beer on the nose, it has a wonderful hoppy flavour that explodes into the nose. A Pale ale master class
Sits in the mouth nicely with this beautiful kick of biter upon the swallow. I’m loving everything about this beer
If your a lover of hops like my self this is a fantastic beer to session. I’m having one and already thinking about the second.
when evaluating the value of the beer in the glass most people will think of the cost involved, well for us beer nuts this is subjective. Personally I think nothing of filling my glass with beers ridiculously expensive beers on a regular basis so for me this coming in at around 3 pound a bottle is rather mute. the one factor you need to be aware of with this beer is that after I drank I immediately went out and ordered some more to place in a little bit of rotation in the coming weeks.
So I think saying I enjoyed this beer is underselling it a little, it delivered in all areas and is a beer that I’ve repurchased and may just be one of those beers I always have in my fridge for times of need.
