Day 21: New world ipa by northern monk

Today we visit northern monk once again, I recently became aware of these guys during a trip to Leeds with my partner and they are quickly becoming one of those breweries that I must try everything they put out. This is made all the easier after finding out their beers are coming to my local Morrison’s as we speak. New world was 6.2% abv and had an ibu of 50. It was cloudy and golden in colour with a three finger head. Incredibly lively in the glass. Wonderful citrus and hops on the nose. This beer was lacking in hmph in the mouth with very little body and only a very little subtle hint of bitterness. This is Another solid beer from northern monk, while it won’t knock the socks off a seasoned drinker of craft beer it’s going to hit the spot for a new drinker. This is far more nuanced and interesting than many of the beers it will share a shelf with and will entice a whole new audience. A must try if your struggling in the supermarket.
