Today we move into lager territory with this crisp 4.8% number from st Austell. Wonderfully clear and straw coloured in the glass with just a smattering of head that disappeared very quickly. Slight bitter note on the nose. Bitterness with a explosion of off flavour in the mouth that is rather off putting. If you sip this beer though rather than gulp it it goes down quite well and is far more enjoyable. It’s a solid middle of the road lager and truth be told that’s not a bad thing because I find it rather refreshing.
