Day 35: BRLO Baltic Porter

Today and every day this month I’ll be reviewing a different German beer. Today I’ll be having a look at this 7% porter from Germany. This is my first German porter as this is normally something I’d associate with us Brit’s. It was black in the glass with a single finger white head. Chocolate on the nose with some malty undertones. Sadly it fails to deliver taste wise. I’m used to porters be quiet layered and complex but this has nothing. this seems like a pale imitation of a porter by people not accustomed to drinking porters. A real shame if you ask me. The Germans make some of the best beers in the world, this sadly is not one of them.
