I have two loves in life a good beer and the films of James bond, admittedly this is named after one of the worse films in the history of that franchise but I couldn’t resist this melding of the two especially when I found out this is a west coast IPA. Black Isle brewery is based in the Scottish Highlands and this particular beer was delivered to me in a 330ml bottle. Opaque and golden in the glass with a single finger white head. Slight hops on the tongue followed by a smattering of hops on the tongue. This is is a solid IPA but sadly that’s the Best I can say about. This is neither good or bad, I guess what I’m trying to say is there are better ipas out there. Some of my personal favourites include Cali by tiny rebel, gamma ray by Beavertown or faith by northern monk come to mind straight away and this leagues below those. I guess the jist of what I’m trying to say is there are better IPA’s out there, they’re also much worse ones. This is a solid middle-of-the-road IPA but I guess I’m just wanting more.
Today’s song is an obvious choice with goldeneye by time turner. Yes I know it’s naff but it’s still fun.
