Just as the weather turns I’ve decided to phase out the darker beers and prepare for a summer fuelled by hops and beers of a lighter nature. Today’s beer is a dark ruby porter and one brewed in my home town of Liverpool to boot. It comes in a brown 500ml bottle with an APV of 4.4%. It was Jet black with two finger head in the glass. There was a slight aroma of malt but nothing much on offer here. Despite the lack of aroma this beer tastes fantastic, it’s a rich full bodied porter. This could be down to the last two days being so hit and miss making this beer a well-welcomed reprieve.
