day 137: pedigree beer by marstons

I’ve wrote about marstons on several occasions, I’ve reviewed many of their drinks, drank in many of their pubs and even wrote about their rebranding efforts a few years back. This is the first time I’ve actually picked up a bottle of pedigree since. I haven’t avoided it on purpose but honestly I didn’t recognise the bottle so I guess I’m not the more sophisticated customer they were going after. This bottle conditioned beer comes in a 500ml bottle with an APV of 4.5%. Brown in colour with a few white bubbles on the top. Nothing on the nose with very little to say about the taste either. This was one of the first real ales I ever had and I think my pallet has moved on leaps and bounds since then

Song of the day is heart of glass by blondie. This song is a true tour de force and just exemplifies why blondie was the queen of pop ditties.
